February Product Update: New Schedule View, Referral Credit Bump, and Efficiency Tweaks

At Jobber HQ way up here in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada, our hours of sunlight are starting to get longer as spring approaches (yay!). But before we look too far forward, let’s take a quick look back at the last two months at Jobber.

The snazzy new day view in the Jobber app
Ok this improvement technically takes effect on March 1st, but we’re too excited not to talk about it. And this is a great place for us to remind you to update your Jobber app on March 1st if you’re a customer!
In a nutshell, it’ll now be easier than ever to see when you’re free and book new work from the Jobber app. (And the original list view is still hanging out and ready to work if you prefer it.)
Our product team looked to the calendar apps we all know and love to influence the design of this new day view, so you don’t have to think twice when chatting with a client about when you can make it to their house.

A higher referral rate for our awesome customers

Our first Jobber Meetup in Chicago
While we were in Chicago for AHR Expo in January, we decided to gather customers, other local service business owners, and property managers for a happy hour. The mission was to talk shop, share advice, and build your rolodex.

Note linking across Jobber
Jobber’s notes and attachments feature was already the bomb for ensuring that your team can easily share and access info when they need it and we upped the functionality with note linking.
If you need to see notes about a client in order to prep a great quote, or ensure that details from a job make it on to an invoice, note linking is your friend.
In just a few clicks, you can link information across related clients, quotes, jobs, and invoices. Note linking cascades down from client → quote → job → invoice.
Report improvements to save you time
A small but mighty improvement, Jobber now saves your report preferences to save you more precious time.
If you always add in a particular column (or two, or three) of information, now Jobber will ensure it shows up the next time you pull that report on the same device.
Who doesn’t love a good shortcut?
We added a job creation shortcut to the Jobber app, which means that once our day view update goes live on March 1st, there will be *four* options for creating a job in the Jobber app!
If you click on the handy + sign on the Jobber app screen you’ll now see ‘Job’ nestled in between our other handy shortcuts for creating clients, quotes, and tasks. Easy!

Yay for Technology Day!
A few of our team members acted as mentors at the brunch, and one of our developers led an HTML and CSS workshop in the afternoon.
