Guide to GIE+EXPO 2019

There are two types of landscape professionals: those who’ve been to GIE+EXPO and those who wish they had.

Bring your walking shoes. GIE+EXPO 2019 is spread over 500,000 square feet inside the Kentucky Exposition centre, and more than 20 acres of outdoor demonstrations and test driving.


Ready to attend GIE+EXPO? Here’s the lowdown on tickets, registration, hours, and location:

GIE+EXPO 2019 trade show hours are:

  • Wednesday, October 16th: 3 p.m. – 7 p.m (indoor exhibits only)
  • Thursday, October 17th: 9 a.m. – 5 p.m (indoor and outdoor exhibits)
  • Friday, October 18th: 8 a.m. – 2 p.m (indoor exhibits only) and 8 a.m. to 1 p.m (outdoor exhibits).

In order to attend GIE+EXPO 2019, you’ll want to register online ahead of time. Simply fill out the online form, choose your hotel and travel options, and start packing.

Early-bird registration (until September 5) starts at just $15, so the faster you act, the better! Onsite registration is also available, starting at $60.


  • Tickets for GIE+EXPO 2019 range from $15 (early bird) to $60 (onsite).
  • Registration for non-exhibiting manufacturers, suppliers, ad agencies and media sales ranges from $350 to $450.
  • Optional fees include:
    • Landscape Professional Workshops (from $85 each)
    • Hardscape Professional Workshops ($65)
    • Technical Training ($30-$45)
    • NHA Demonstration Upgrade ($65)

New for 2019, GIE+EXPO is offering free parking to all attendees.

RV parking is also available at a daily rate of $30 per day or $50 per day for an electric hookup (includes water hookups/tank filling and access to a dump station, restrooms facilities and showers.) Visit the Kentucky Exposition Center website to make an RV parking reservation.

Driving Directions to GIE+EXPO 2019: The Kentucky Exposition Center is located at the junction of I-65 and I-264 (937 Phillips Lane) in Louisville. Look for signs reading “Fair/Expo Center” on both interstates. Visitors may want to beat the traffic by entering Gates 2 & 4 on Crittenden Drive or Gate 6 on Preston Highway. Visitors traveling from out of state by air will find getting to the Kentucky Exposition Center easy as it is located just minutes from the Louisville International Airport.

Flight Directions to GIE+EXPO 2019: The Louisville International Airport (SDF) is only seven minutes from downtown and offers easy access to the Kentucky Exposition. Expect to pay between $10-$15 for a taxi ride.

Accommodation can be a stressful part of any travel experience, however GIE+EXPO has partnered with the Louisville Housing Bureau to make booking accommodation simple and safe. All of the hotels recommended by GIE+EXPO and the Louisville Housing Bureau are within an easy driving distance to the Exposition Centre, and free shuttle busses are available.

Plus, GIE+EXPO attendees who reserve their rooms through Louisville Housing Bureau have a chance to win a travel package!
